NEWLY ELECTED OKOTOKS TOWN COUNCIL
Committed to an inclusive Okotoks and helping in the growth
and recovery of Okotoks

HELLO
My name is Oliver Hallmark and I welcome the opportunity to earn your vote this October as a representative on Okotoks Town Council.
As a local small business owner, I have spent the past decade serving Okotoks through my business, as well as extensive volunteering, participating in social programs, and sitting on municipal committee boards. Community service is a way of life for me, so it gives me great pleasure to announce my candidacy for Okotoks town council.

It was 7 years ago that I realized that I wanted to be a part of Okotoks Town Council but rather than jumping in, I used the past 7 years to learn as much as I could about our municipality, our history and spent a lot of time talking to the community and understanding the diverse views that our community has.

I chose to run now because I know I am ready, I have a stronger understanding of what I can bring to the position, and believe that I can make an impact.

I promise that I will do my best, and if I do not have the answer, I will search for it and represent our community in the best manner.
HOW I WILL HELP
OKOTOKS

a stronger and more
INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY
AGE - ABILITY - CULTURE - LIFESTYLE - INCOME
Okotoks has an opportunity to thrive with the skills, knowledge, and experience of our community.
We have a rich heritage and a lot of long time residents that contribute to the richness of our community.
To grow, we will need to explore the most effective solutions to adapt to the diversity of our residents.
an opportunity for COLLABORATION
We have a unique opportunity to rebuild relationships with the community and the government.

I believe Okotoks is in a prime position for opportunity to not only live, work, and play better, but to attract the attention of neighbouring communities to help grow our local economy. Through positive leadership, kindness and empathy I commit to listening and acting accordingly to help unite our local government with the community, stakeholders, and businesses, to positively influence Okotoks for a prosperous future.

recovery and a smart way to REBUILD
There is no doubt that the past year has presented many obstacles for everyone in Okotoks.

If elected, my focus will be
-
small business and local economic recovery,
-
Ensuring the growth of Okotoks includes fair representation and inclusion of our diverse community in our local government,
-
Reviewing and considering cost-effective solutions to current and growth challenges.

This may not be an easy path forward but it is an opportunity for Okotoks to rebuild with a future focus for all.
